Background and role in Ohio Bobcat Club

A two-time OHIO graduate, Winstead brings with him over 30 years of development experience including stops at Georgia Southern, Oregon, Houston, Washington, Colorado State, Louisiana-Lafayette and Seattle.

Some of the highlights of Winstead’s career include co-leading a fundraising project at Washington which raised $90 million and led to the renovation of three major athletics facilities, helping resurrect the football program at Georgia Southern and helping create an in-house radio and television network at Oregon.

Winstead comes to Ohio after spending the last two years in the private sector as a successful financial analyst and planner. His last stop in college athletics was at Seattle where he created an annual fund to support the universities move to Division I.

Favorite part of working in the Ohio Bobcat Club

Coming home to my beloved Alma mater! This place gave me so much, and hopefully I can give back some of what it provided me! I also love the outstanding OBC staff and donors who are transforming the lives of Bobcat student-athletes every day!

Favorite Ohio Athletics sports memory

Working under incredible coaches like Bill Hess and Bob Kappes as a student manager for football; so many lifelong memories. Beating Miami in football both my junior and senior seasons!!!!!
