Background and role in Ohio Bobcat Club

Hunter Hughes joined the Ohio Bobcat Club as the Assistant Athletic Director for Development in March of 2016. Before coming to Athens, Hughes served as the Director of Annual Giving for Washington State University Athletics. Prior to Washington State University, Hughes worked as an Annual Fund Officer for the University of Utah Athletic Department.

Hughes is responsible for generating philanthropic support for OHIO Athletics, to include unrestricted and sport specific gifts, and capital campaign projects.

A graduate of the University of Utah, he earned his bachelor’s degrees in International and Middle Eastern Studies. Hughes is currently working toward his Master’s degree in Sports Administration at Ohio University.

Hughes and his wife April, along with their two sons, Hudson (2) and Holden (1), reside in Athens.
